Paul Loos

Paul Loos began studying percussion under Rich Hogan at age 8, and his career in the marching arts at Lakeland High school in 1997. Paul has marched with numerous world class ensembles including Huron Valley Percussion, Shock Percussion, Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps, Northcoast Academy, and the Michigan State University Drumline, Detroit Lions Drumline and Detroit Piston Drumline.

Over the last 8 years Paul has taught privately as well as with countless groups around the state. Currently, Paul serves as the battery caption head and arranger for both Walled Lake Central High School, Walled Lake Percussion where he has help them win a gold and bronze medal at WGI finals. He also serves as the percussion caption head at Lake Orion High School. He served on the percussion staff at Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps in 2006, Dutch Boy Drum & Bugle Corps 2007 and Carolina Crown in 2009. He also served as Visual Caption Head at Eastside Fury in 2007 and Battery technician in 2006 and 2007. Paul has also worked with other winter ensembles such as Huron Valley Percussion and Northcoast Academy in 2009.

Paul resides in Ferndale, MI outside of Detroit where he performs and works as a percussion teacher and studio musician.
